I am struggling this week. A major event occurred and has caused me so much stress!
My daughter does not believe in parental alienation, and she disputes that it is even possible. I realize I should not have spoken to her about it two years ago, and it seems to have caused more distance. With this space, she’s become more involved with my ex and his family, practically avoiding every one of my family gatherings. It tears me up often, and it’s seemingly going to become even harder for me.
The event - My ex just got married to an “ex” friend. My daughter lied and claimed she was somewhere else rather than out of state at his wedding. She spends a lot of time with this woman, and my ex’s family loves to share posts about her all the time on social media. And, what’s worse, is that I feel she’s going to finally make the alienation official, having a new “mom.”
I have been crying all week. I feel hopeless, as if I have nothing left. Emotional anguish is taking over my heart and soul!
Please help me to see God through this. I thank you for allowing me to share. My prayers are with you, also, as I thank God for this source and your compassion.
